This cheese sauce is great over veggies like broccoli, potatoes, cauliflower, celery, etc.
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
dash of thyme
1 ½ cups milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk, and bring to a boil. Stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheese and stir until melted.
